Our correction standard
When a material error is identified, we correct the page as soon as practical and, for significant editorial changes, retain a revision record. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may not require a public correction note.
Finance corrections
Finance information can change quickly. If a lender changes APR, fees, term limits or underwriting disclosures, the source should be rechecked. A page should not be made to look current only by changing its “updated” date.
Calculator corrections
If a formula, unit conversion or cost assumption is wrong, we update the calculation logic or administrator-controlled rate and test representative inputs before republishing.
How to report an issue
Use the Contact page and include the page URL, the statement or result you believe is incorrect, and a source or explanation when available.
