People-first standard

Our content should answer a real reader question, explain tradeoffs and disclose important limitations. We do not treat keyword density or word count as a substitute for usefulness.

U.S. consumer-finance content

Finance articles use U.S. terminology such as APR, FICO score, origination fee, mortgage, HELOC, refinancing and debt consolidation. When current lender rates, fees or eligibility claims are discussed, they should be verified against official provider disclosures before publication. We avoid inventing minimum credit scores or approval standards when the provider does not publish them.

Sources

We prefer primary sources, including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, federal agencies, regulators, official lender documents and product disclosures. Secondary sources can be used for context when primary information is unavailable, but should not override the source that controls the actual product terms.

Authors and reviewers

Use real author and reviewer identities when available. Do not invent licenses, degrees, professional experience or credentials for SEO purposes. When an article is produced by the ePortalHub Editorial Team, the byline should not imply professional licensure that the team does not hold.

Home-cost methodology

Home-improvement calculators are planning tools. Their cost assumptions can be edited in Admin and should be reviewed against credible market information and local conditions. Currency conversion does not turn a U.S. cost model into local contractor pricing for another country.

Commercial independence

Advertising, affiliate compensation and contractor lead generation should not determine an editorial ranking or conclusion. Sponsored relationships should be disclosed and paid links should use appropriate link attributes.

AI-assisted workflows

Automation can assist with research organization, drafting and quality checks, but publication remains subject to factual review, source verification and editorial judgment. We do not knowingly publish invented quotes, fabricated credentials or unverifiable lender terms.
